A couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to go on my first ever writing retreat.
It was a perfect fall weekend to visit the North Carolina mountains with a group of seven amazing authors. We’d all known each other online, but for many of us, this was the first time meeting. There was Juliana L. Brandt, Pat Esden, Robin Constantine, Kip Wilson Rechea, M.A. Scott, Lauren Spieller, and the mastermind behind the whole thing, Jaye Robin Brown. This talented, diverse group came together like old friends, and we tucked into a weekend of mind mapping, drafting, revising, and fun.
Our collective productivity was astonishing, but we didn’t just write (that would be boring, even for a group of passionate writers).
We had an adventure into Asheville…
We wandered around the beautiful trails…
AND we learned to silk screen, taught by the magnificent Jaye…
Guess what we made? That’s right; spectacular retreat t-shirts. And because I couldn’t decide which shirt to bring, we made one extra.
It could be yours! Follow my retreat sisters on Twitter for a chance to win the honorary Montreat Retreat 2013 member shirt. The giveaway runs until November 6th. What are you waiting for? Enter the Rafflecopter giveaway now!
