A few weeks ago, I brought you the Summer of Love blog tour from Swoon Romance, and last week author Stephanie Wardrop dropped by for Writers on Wednesday. Today, I’m thrilled to bring you the culmination of both of these posts: my review of Stephanie’s novella Charm and Consequence. This is the second book in the Snark and Circumstance series, and I DEVOURED it!
This modern retelling of Pride and Prejudice is a perfect summer read. Georgia Barrett, the modern Elizabeth, has progressed from outright hatred of the wealthy, hard-to-read Michael Endicott into confused interest. Is he a handsome jerk? Is he secretly noble? As Georgia gets the chance to know more about Michael, she finds herself questioning her initial impressions of the pretty rich boy. Readers will adore Michael long before Georgia does, and this is a quick, charming read that will delight readers of contemporary romance, as well as Jane Austen fans.
I loved this novella, and I can’t wait to read more from Wardrop and Swoon.
