Today, I’ve got another character from a book-turned-movie:

Lena from The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants by Ann Brashares

The friends in The Sisterhood each bring something different to the table, and Lena is the quiet, artistic soul.  She embodies the idea that “still waters run deep”.

Because of the pants and a summer trip to Greece to visit family, Lena begins to really figure out who she is as an individual in the first book of The Sisterhood.  She may not be as powerful as Carmen or as broken as Bridget, but she’s a strong character who learns that love, while frightening, can also be liberating.
